On February 21, 2017 the Network Project company announced creation of a subsystem of virtualization in the West Siberian Scientific Research Institute Geologii and Geophysics.
Project Tasks
For reliability augmentation and performance of Federal State Budgetary Institution ZAPSIBNIIGG it was required to create a subsystem of the virtualization servicing institute buildings in the city of Tyumen.
The electronic auction on the right of creation of a subsystem of virtualization was won by Network Project company and proposed technical solution on the basis of the equipment of the Lenovo Creation of a Subsystem of Virtualization[1].
Project Progress
The subsystem of virtualization is created on the platform of Microsoft Hyper-V technology. Specialists of the contractor designed, mounted and configured a virtualization subsystem, provided training of specialists of the customer.
In the course of creation of a subsystem of virtualization the equipment is used:
- servers Lenovo x3550 M5;
- switches of the Lenovo B300 storage area network (OEM version of the Brocade 300 switches);
- Lenovo Storwize V3700 disk array (OEM version of the IBM Storwize V3700 disk array).
Project Results
The joint team of experts of Network Project and ZAPSIBNIIGG started a virtualization subsystem. It is expected that with project completion the efficiency of divisions of scientific research institute will increase.
