MegaFon provided with mobile communication of Mutnovskiye GEOES on Kamchatka

On February 21, 2017 the MegaFon company announced providing telecommunication services to Geoterm joint-stock company, RusHydro subsidiary company.

MegaFon provided mobile services to the staff of Geoterm servicing Mutnovskaya of GEOES-1 and Upper Mutnovsky GEOES. Employee numbers of the enterprise are transferred to network of the operator using service of MNP.

Both geothermal power stations are located at a foot of Mutnovsky Volcano, on a mark of 780 meters from sea level, in 116 km from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It is the seismodangerous area carried to a nine-mark zone on MSK-64 scale.

For the organization in the territory of GEOES of a qualitative covering mobile communication, MegaFon constructed and put the certain base station into operation. At the same time it was necessary to provide with communication both power plants which are next to each other, but at the same time separated by volcano's slopes. The task became complicated the fact that only the specialized equipment, and duration of a winter season - 9 months in a year goes to objects. Nevertheless, the necessary solution was found, and on Mutnovsky geothermal power stations the high-quality stable relation appeared.

The covering of network covered the tourist route, also popular in daylight saving time, conducting to the small Valley of geysers.
