2016 the draft of the Comprehensive program of the innovative development of holding until 2020 was developed for the solution of the strategic tasks in the field of scientific and technical and technology development of the company aimed at providing competitiveness and efficiency of its work in JSC "Russian Railways". It is approved by the Interdepartmental commission on technology development of presidium of Council under the President of the Russian Federation for upgrade of economy and the innovative development of Russia and recommended for the approval by Board of Directors of JSC "Russian Railways". In the program the key directions of engineering development for the five-year period, one of which is quality management, are defined.

In more detail the development plan for this important direction is submitted in the Strategy of quality management in Russian Railway holding developed and approved in the current year. Among the priority directions of strategy implementation – lean production.

Lean production develops in JSC "Russian Railways" since 2010. In a basis complex approach was put: the Program of projects "Lean production in JSC "Russian Railways" is created and is implemented (further – the Program). The polygon of implementation of technologies of lean production extends: 6 years ago in JSC "Russian Railways" began with 47 enterprises, and in 2016 the Program covered already 1995 structural divisions.

ECONOMIC EFFECT OF PROJECTS OF LEAN PRODUCTION

Special attention is paid to multifunctional projects using end-to-end technologies of transportation process which are developed and executed by the special nodal working groups. The effect of improvement of end-to-end process can be calculated by tens and hundreds of millions of rubles, i.e. 10 times more than from a functional design at the separate linear enterprise. Therefore we systematically increase number of projects in the field of end-to-end technologies.
