For March 2, 2017 Sensor Hub is a software platform for data collection from any types of sensors in field conditions of the agrarian industry.
On March 2, 2017 the ExactFarming company announced development of a software platform of Sensor Hub. The platform will allow farmers and agronomists to control a status of acreage in real time.
Technologies of Internet of Things actively get into agriculture. Today the farmer can quickly trace such important indicators as the air temperature and soils, humidity, atmospheric pressure and so on, having just installed the corresponding sensors on fields. Sensor Hub is the first solution with which allows to collect data from sensors of the most different types in the unified information system. Egor Zaikin, development director of ExactFarming |
Potential customers of Sensor Hub are producers of sensors, the technology gives the chance to convey information collected by sensors to the end consumer.
Web service aggregates all information necessary for farmers and agronomists, including, a weather forecast, satellite pictures of fields, structure of the soil on each field, data on earlier introduced fertilizers and means of protecting of plants. The data collected by sensors on fields will be available to users in the context of this information that will repeatedly increase their value.
Information from sensors helps landowners to make more exact decisions on the production technology:
- what works should be performed in fields,
- when,
- using what equipment
- using what medicines.
It gives the chance to increase production efficiency and to reduce costs.
Service was started at the beginning of 2016. For March 2, 2017, according to data of developer company, more than 1.6 thousand country farms use it.
