ISP: Mascot

For March 14, 2017 Mascot is means of search and detection of dummy accounts of the social networks operating for distribution of unreliable information, spam, simulation of mass activity.

On March 14, 2017 the Institute of system programming announced creation of the Mascot system focused on the analysis of social networks.

The technology allows to look for and analyze information on the basis of the complete and incomplete data specified in profiles of social networks, to social communications of accounts, subscriptions, lists of "friends" and readers. In an analysis result demographic attributes of users are defined:

• age,
• marital Status,
• education level and so on.

If values of these or those attributes do not fit into the algorithm created by a software package, it is possible to draw a conclusion with a considerable share of confidence - the profile of social network which is dropping out of the scheme belongs not to the living person, and is created artificially. Using Teksterra technology, it is possible to calculate sets of the bots created by "one hand" or controlled on one template textbook of methodics.

The Mascot technology allows, on the basis of the analysis of incomplete data using information from social networks, to calculate the approximate place of basing of the user, his belonging to a certain social group, commitment of this or that ideology, other useful information.

The analysis of such constantly changing data array as information in social networks, today – the urgent need. It and the marketing tool allowing to estimate audience, to build the patterns helping to work selectively with different age and social groupes. And in many respects – security tool. In the last decades the unlimited Internet anonymity became a threat source for certain people or the companies, for the whole people and the countries.
