On March 14, 2017 Tele2 company announced implementation in all regions of presence of SON technology (Self-Organizing Network) of Eden-NET Nokia for automatic adjustment of network functioning.
Project Results
Tele2 implemented the SON system compatible to standards 2G, 3G and LTE, in all regions of presence. The high-tech solution of Eden-NET Nokia automatically analyzes operation parameters of network and optimizes interaction of base stations of Tele2. A system reduces a range of the overloaded station and increases the range of a signal of next, redistributing power and increasing capacity of communication channels.
The company noted improvement of figures of merit of communication in scales of Russia. The number of voice breaks in 3G network was reduced on average by 25%, availability of a signal improved. With an annual growth of Internet traffic of users of package rates by 3.5 times the implemented system allows to support the average speed of data transmission in 3G-network at steadily high level.
The solution SON provides the approved and flexible management with Tele2 infrastructure – this system gives a picture of workflows on all network of the operator. If necessary the complex quickly selects additional capacity and provides bezobryvny connections regardless of to what network the subscriber is connected. In peak busy hours the average speed of data transmission on one user increases thanks to SON by 10%. The technological solution allowed Tele2 to cut down operating costs and to automate work of technical specialists, having excluded a factor of a human error in network management.
