The 1st Antarctic Biennale

The 1st Antarctic Biennale is the international sociocultural movement. The first expedition starts on March 16, 2017 from the Argentina port of Ushuaia headed by the Commissioner and will take place onboard the vessel Academician Yoffe till March 27, 2017. The author of the project – the Russian artist and the philosopher Alexander Ponomarev.

The platform for cross-disciplinary dialog about the future of a civilization, will integrate more than 100 people from around the world: artists, architects, researchers and philosophers. In the program of the biennial art and scientific discussions, poetic and philosophical readings, meetings of visionaries. In time and based on an expedition a large number of art and cultural projects will be implemented.

Within the concept "Let's save the steady environment" the biennial maintains the principles created by the academician Vernadsky: change of the relation to the environment which now still remains injurious.


In 2017 CROC became the Bronze partner the first in the history of The 1st Antarctic Biennale. With assistance of the company about 100 artists, architects, researchers, philosophers, visionaries and people of business from around the world went to the most ecologically protected continent to an expedition. They will discuss the future of a human civilization and way of preserving of natural resources of Earth.

CROC companies are close the principles of reasonable conversion of the environment of the academician Vernadsky which are the cornerstone of Antarctic Biennale ideology. The important place in a product portfolio of CROC is taken by the solutions promoting preserving of natural resources or reducing harmful effects on the environment. Among recent projects of the company there is a smart energy saving office for ALROSA company, power complexes on a basis vetro-and solntsegeneration on a number of base stations of MegaFon company in Murmansk region, monitoring systems of state of environment for a number of the companies of the energy companies of Russia, including for Gazflot company.

The company uses eco-friendly solutions and for own needs. One of data centers of the company is conditioned using the cooling system by heat of Earth, and the office CROC in Moscow carries the status "Green Office" from the international organization of Greenpeace, thanks to use of energy efficient technologies and some other useful solutions, in particular, to the system of separate collecting of garbage and the system of collecting and utilization of a rain water.

Intentions of participants of the Antarctic expedition to argue on the future of mankind are also very close to us. The CROC company in a year of the 25 anniversary looks in future, in next 25 years, and this new era, an era of a didzhitalization, sets new calls and new tasks for the industry. Interaction of people among themselves, citizens and the state, consumers and producers of services, technology devices and information systems becomes automatic that puts forward before society not only technology tasks which with pleasure system integrators, for example, of CROC, but also ethical, moral will undertake, on which philosophers and artists can reflect", – Boris Bobrovnikov, the CEO of CROC tells.

CROC became one of the first partners of the project, helping Antarctic Biennale from the start of the project, since fall of 2015. According to the author and the Commissioner of the Antarctic Biennial Alexander Ponomarev, Antarctica is the free continent which does not belong to any state.
