For March 14, 2017 Cloud API is an applications interface, it is intended for the gateways IoT. Technology of integration of local sensor networks into a cloud solution.
On March 14, 2017 the congatec company presented a cloud service in the form of the Cloud API interface (Application Programming Interface) which can integrate any local sensor networks into any cloud solution.
The Cloud AP service interacts with local intelligent sensors, processes and will transform the data obtained from them, performs the automated operations on the basis of the mechanism of local rules, reducing traffic to a cloud of IoT and providing at the same time fast actions in the most local area network.
Safe bidirectional data exchange with any suitable clouds is reached due to use of the simplified network protocol MQTT with security of the transport layer of TLS. In the practical solution Microsoft Azure cloud is used. Clients can get access to this cloud through the protected https connections in regime of the client or administrator.
All these functions do Cloud API service by a starting point for OEM manufacturing who need to get access to intelligent sensor networks through the gateways IoT and boundary IoT-servers.
Typical scopes of the solution - in different segments of IoT - from industrial production and the industrial equipment to the smart cities, smart objects, smart houses, intelligent power networks, the equipment of medical Internet of Things, in the transport sector and for the digital promotional and informational systems.
The presented service in the form of the Cloud API interface is ready to direct application and is open for integration of wireless touch interconnections. Among them Bluetooth LE, ZigBee, LoRa and other LPWAN technology, wire protocols for the organization or industrial automation.
Each intelligent sensor network has own specific requirements. At the same time heterogeneous sensor networks often are required, and solutions for such different implementations of databases can be found in IoT clouds. On the edge of IoT we can manage these heterogeneous bidirectional requirements, on a centralized basis managing local intelligent sensor networks, turning on also, directly, boundary gateways IoT. Our application, in the form of service, already ready to use, in the form of the Cloud API interface intended for the gateways IoT meets this requirement. Its freely programmable software modules can be used for gaining access to our payments and their data and also to be connected to sensor networks. They are available to C programming ++ and can be used as the scenario for any specialized implementations. Principal components of the software offered by the company - the different functional modules Cloud API, demonstration and test modules for independent IoT-clouds.
The touch engine of congatec Cloud API company for the gateways IoT does contact with the local sensor and actuators independent of protocols. It normalizes data writings for freely defined physical units and checks them for coordination.
The library of the congatec (CGOS) operating system integrates parameters of the corresponding lock system:
- system temperature,
- working loading of the processor
- detection of unauthorized invasions.
The mechanism of rules allows the gateway to initiate locally warnings and to take the automated actions if certain values exceed or threaten to exceed a certain threshold. The mechanism of message exchange cares for the cloud communication ciphered and not depending on the data provider through hardwired or wireless Internet connections.
The software of assessment of an IoT-cloud provides necessary tools for consolidation of these sensors in a cloud. Besides, they can set the centralized rules of message exchange and execute control for the connected IoT applications, define additional scenarios of escalation and provide monitoring panels for remote client users.
