Project date: 2017/03

In March, 2017 the Carestream Health company announced end of the first project on implementation of the tomograph for extremities of OnSight 3D Extremity System. At first this equipment will be used in the center of medical visualization at Cobalt Health charitable organization (a southwest part of England is based in the city of Cheltenham).

In comparison with other equipment in the same class this 3D - a system provides more diagnostic information on pathology of a bone and muscular system.

OnSight 3D Extremity System

Scanning by 220 degrees around parts of a body takes 25 seconds, at the same time a system receives more than 600 images for the procedure. The scanner provides high resolution of the three-dimensional image even at decrease in a dose of radiation. The device can be used as permanently, and moving to chamber of the patient.

Cobalt Health is known that it invests in rendering medical services using new technologies, including those which did not become commercial yet. In the center modern devices for magnetic resonance imaging and positron emisionnoy are installed to a tomography with a computer tomography (PET/KT).

Being an old client of Carestream, Cobalt of the first in Great Britain installed the Carestream MyVue Patient Portal system intended for convenient exchange of medical images and records between patients and doctors. Also in Cobalt the solutions Carestream Vue RIS and Vue are used.
