Identity as a Service is technology of management of identification data of users in real time, as a part of hybrid networks.
On March 27, 2017 the Fujitsu company announced release in EMEIA region (Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa) of a software technology of Identity as a Service (IDaaS), service of management of the identification information and access, for fight against the attacks of hackers.
The service created on the basis of complex authentication protocols including biometric also guarantees gaining access to systems, resources and applications only to the users having the right to it. A system manages identification data in real time, using the automated tools on the basis of cloud computing. Functions of data processing of identifiers of users and access control are integrated into directories, systems, cloud services and applications using standard interfaces.
The solution IDaaS of Fujitsu company supports a number of techniques of authentication:
- user ID and password,
- input in an account of the desktop PC running Windows OS,
- single user identification (SSO),
- CallSign authentication (on phone call with input of the PIN code)
- biometric authentication.
In SSO technology the markup language of declarations of security of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and language of federation of Web Services Federation Language web services (WS-Federation) for security and authentication at start of local and cloud applicaions is used.
The product helps the companies to configure the requirement and policy for information security using the permissions provided in real time, and functions of monitoring of use of resources and drawing up reports. Service without subscription fee helps to increase organizational effectiveness and productivity using the automated and self-manual operating systems that reduces handmade volume and reduces the number of addresses to technical support service.
Users of computers are forced to use tens of logins and passwords. It creates a problem for the staff of the companies who is forced to remember the large volume of information, and for the companies forced to provide optimal balance between security and convenience of using to employees – insufficiently reliable identification data create threat of violation of information security.
