2017: Announcement

On April 6, 2017 the Japanese company Eizo announced the monitor for mammography. The range of the producer was filled up by the RadiForce RX 560 MammoDuo model.

Thanks to high resolution (  2560 x 2048 pixels) and possibilities of transfer of a large number of shades of gray the device well is suitable for display of digital mammographic images.

Besides, developers note use of a low-temperature polysilicon in creation of the LCD display that promoted achievement of very high rate of brightness — 1100 cd/m2.

The device screen is also characterized by contrast 1500:1, response time of a matrix of 25 ms, a scope more than 1 billion flowers and the maximum viewing angles of 178 degrees in vertical direction and horizontals thanks to a matrix of IPS.

The monitor is supplied with two connectors DisplayPort, one DVI-D and three USB 3.0. Use of an ultrathin frame on screen perimeter (thickness is from 7.5 mm that, according to the producer, is the smallest indicator for such class of the equipment) allows to create configurations from several monitors with minimum noticeable joints.

The Hybrid Gamma PXL technology will automatically recognize color and monochrome areas in one picture then it sets optimal gradation of color for the image and selects the most interesting zones.

Function of hybrid setup of a gamma of monochrome monitors automatically distinguishes medical images from images of technical character (for example, the toolbars) and displays each of them with an optimal brightness. Decrease in brightness of the toolbar promotes smaller fatigue of eyes of the operator.

Sales of the Eizo RadiForce RX 560 MammoDuo monitor will begin at the end of September, 2017. Product cost at the time of the announcement is not reported.[1]
