On April 11, 2017 the Webzavod company announced the project of upgrade of computing powers of a core of a system by request of the medical information and analytical center (MIAC) of the Ulyanovsk region.
Project Tasks
In the Ulyanovsk region unrolled an implementation project of a single medical information system. Based on work in the test mode project participants made the decision to connect all medical institutions of the Ulyanovsk region to MIAC. At the same time the conclusion about need of significant increase in computing powers of a core of a system[1] was created].
For upgrade of computing powers, increase in information processing rate and reliability augmentation of infrastructure in general the management MIAC made the decision on acquisition and integration in IT infrastructure servers Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST 2800B2 and the storage system supporting work with data Fujitsu ETERNUS DX200 S3.
Project Progress
Selecting the server hardware for accumulation of computing power MIAC, specialists of the customer looked for reliably protected solution having high potential of scalability further.
Beginning the project of creation of an information and analytical system, partners refused from a blade server because of physical restraint of number of the virtual servers placed on one "edge". The Windows Server 2012 operating system does not allow from a set physical a blade servers "assemble" one virtual server. With respect thereto the customer was interested in purchase of powerful multiprocessor x86 system with number of processors not less than four.
The company selected the Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST server.
Project Results
On the platform of the equipment Fujitsu and the operated server hardware the cluster of high availability to ensuring full-time employment of the regional medical information system (RMIS) is organized. The sheaf from the PRIMEQUEST 2800B2 server in the maximum complete set and disk DWH of ETERNUS DX 200 S3 forms a basis of a cluster.
The core of the regional medical information system (RMIS) works at their basis: on the server the complex of the virtual machines supporting work of the Microsoft SQL database functions (virtual servers of databases, applications and so forth), and on DWH images of virtual machines, databases, a short-term operational data archive are placed. The server and DWH are connected through an optical multiplexer in a single network of data storage. The cluster supports migration of virtual machines in the PRIMEQUEST server, and, in case of accident movement of external standard servers.
All complex occupies three 19-inch racks with a possibility of additional equipment installation.
