Mobile FrontHaul is a line of optical elements for networks on the basis of fiber optic cables. Are focused on use by mobile operators.
On April 13, 2017 the MRV Communications company announced release of set of optical elements for an optical network to each cell, with support of the CPRI protocols with transmission rates from 614 Mbps to 11 Gbps.
Elements are intended for work in temperature condition from -40 °C to +85 °C, passive filters have a possibility of external installation on a mast that simplifies process of installation and reduces its cost[1].
For April 13, 2017 the list of modules, available to the order, includes multiplexers and four types of the optical SFP+ interfaces:
- SFP-10GDWEXTH-XX – DWDM up to 40 km
- SFP-10GCWEXTH-XX – CWDM up to 40 km
- SFP-10GD-BX432(23)TH are one-fiber interfaces up to 40 km
- SFP-10GMR-ELRTH are "gray" interfaces up to 20 km
The Mobile FrontHaul technology satisfies to top trends in the organization of communication between radio towers and the central office.
