Melon Fashion Group connected service of a video conferencing

On April 14, 2017 the Orange Business Services company announced an implementation project of the Open VideoPresence platform by request of group of the Melon Fashion Group brands.

Project Tasks

The head office of the company works in St. Petersburg, and production capacities are dispersed in 10 countries. Before personal assessment – transfer of the specimen copy from factory back to designers was one of methods of quality evaluation of a product, it took several weeks and could postpone start of mass production.

During optimization of communication systems between divisions in Russia and China, Melon Fashion Group planned online fitting rooms independently. The company was faced by a problem of creation of the VIDEOCONFERENCING own system with the corresponding support and quality of service.

Project Progress

Specialists of Melon Fashion Group managed to organize viewing products in the point-to-point mode, at the same time designers of three brands needed to gather, at head office.

The alternative to this option was offered by Orange Business Services – together with data transmission channels, specialists of provider suggested to use Virtual Room service. This service of a video conferencing does not require the equipment on the party of the customer, allows to be connected to a conference from any device, including mobile, to browse results of "fitting" after completion of an online session.

For quality evaluation of trial products designers at offices of the company installed terminals with the cameras of high resolution supporting 25-fold optical increase.

Project Results

Designers of brands had an opportunity "try on" trial products in China, being in St. Petersburg or other place in the world, using tablets and smartphones.

Service of online fitting rooms helped us to rebuild process of creation of collections qualitatively. Despite distance in thousands of kilometers, fittings take place regularly, and clothes models are online discussed. Examination of our partners allowed not to create own video server, and to use a ready-made cloud solution. We see positive results and we are going to continue product introduction, capable to optimize operational processes and to save means.
