Product
Developers: 3Data
Date of the premiere of the system: 2017
Technology: DPC

3data construction A data center company DPC presented a data center in April 2017. The Moscow building in which the data center will be located is located on Sadovo-Kudrinskaya street. It is the property of 3data.

The peculiarity of the object is that the data center is monobrand - it is built on the equipment of the French company Legrand. The company supplies uninterruptible power supplies, power supply systems, condensation systems, cabinets, server racks and other equipment for data centers[1]

The same building will house the office and administrative space and the Legrand training center. The center will conduct courses for IT specialists on the work of data centers - 3data assures that there is a demand for this kind of supply in the regions. The telecommunications infrastructure for the data center was provided by Mastertel.

The data center can have up to 100 server racks, a platform of 300 sq m was allocated for the data center in the building. Investments in the technological equipment of the new data center amounted to 60 million rubles, taking into account the cost of the building, the total costs for this volume amounted to 150-200 million rubles.

During the construction of the data center, standards were laid that correspond to the Tier-III level (the scale by which the reliability of data centers is assessed). However, 3data is not certified due to its high cost.

The data center became part of the previously launched 3data program "Data Center Walking Distance." The company compares this program with "convenience stores": despite the presence of hypermarkets outside Moscow, it is convenient for many Muscovites to use grocery stores in the immediate vicinity.

Also, in the case of data centers, it is convenient for business customers in many cases to use objects of this type located in the vicinity of their offices. For example, this is necessary to copy clients all information from their servers to media.

Accordingly, the location of the data center in the center of Moscow will ensure proximity to many corporate clients. For 3data, this is the third data center in the center of Moscow and 10 throughout Moscow within the framework of this program.

3data investments in the engineering infrastructure of the data center amounted to 500 million rubles. Taking into account the cost of real estate, total investments in the project by the end of the year will reach 2 billion rubles.

In total, 3data, within the framework of the "Data Center Walking Distance" program, plans to open 40 data centers in the capital. Total investments in the project will amount to 10 billion rubles. A prerequisite is the placement of a data center in real estate owned directly by 3data itself. Andreevich explains that there have already been cases in Moscow when the landlord broke the contract with the data center, which created big problems for his clients.
