In April, 2017 the producer of the medical equipment GE Healthcare and the Echosens company specializing in solutions in the field of diagnostics announced the joint ultrasonic LOGIQ S8 XDclear 2.0 system. It is created for exact detection of diseases of a liver. The device was provided at the International Liver Congress conference in Amsterdam (on April 19-23, 2017).
The LOGIQ S8 XDclear 2.0 system integrating possibilities of ultrasonic visualization and quantitative assessment of cells of a liver allows to diagnose quickly and without serious consequences fibrosis, cirrhosis and steatoz a liver.
The corporate Echosens FibroScan technology which became a noninvasive alternative to painful biopsies of a liver is the basis operation of the equipment. Also the software of Liver Package for advanced medical visualization is used.
In a joint statement of GE Healthcare and Echosens it is said that the companies "delighted with partnership thanks to which they expand the solution portfolio of diagnostics of a liver and make a contribution in increase in efficiency in fight against liver diseases". By April, 2017 the products Echosens are on sale more than in 80 countries or directly the producer, or through network of distributors (there are 40).
According to results of the research published in the The American Journal of Gastroenterology edition, diseases of a liver are the second in distribution reason of death rate among all diseases of a gastrointestinal tract in the USA. Deviations in work of a liver can be caused by the hepatitis B or C, overconsumption of alcohol or improper feeding. As a rule, diseases of a liver proceed without symptoms and remain unnoticed up to very late stages leading to cirrhosis or cancer of a liver.[1]
