2016 was announced on KNAAZ year of improvement of the Production system of Sukhoi. How work on implementation of Lean-technologies in Komsomol branch was carried out, the deputy head of department of development of PSS Dmitry Grebenyuk[1]tells[2]

"In 2016 two large-scale events covering practically all divisions of branch were held. First, all directors – from masters to chiefs of workshops and departments – were trained to the principles of "lean production". Secondly, in each workshop the position of the specialist in development of PSS which is urged to direct and coordinate work on improvement of a production system in division was entered. Besides, year was filled with systematic and purposeful work in different areas.

In the expiring year the main emphasis was put on replication of a brigade form of job management. Crews – small united collectives – will become further the base of development of "lean production", their purpose is a daily improvement of production process.

Now crews are organized in 29 workshops. We are going to gain effect of this work next year. First of all it will be expressed in decrease in number of defects of products and performance improvement of work.

At the enterprise active work on system implementation 5C – one of instruments of lean production which gives effect at a minimum of costs is continued.

The worker spends less time for search necessary, respectively, – one production more. This year there are already visible results which are noted by the specialists of other enterprises arriving to branch. Due to sorting and removal superfluous of workshops more than 2 thousand sq.m of production areas are released. It is handed over not used tool approximately on 9 million rubles. It especially is important that the tool which was stored "just in case" was very demanded on the next sections.

There is a wish to note that not all workers correctly use this instrument of lean production why the effect is observed not in all workplaces. On them work will be continued next year. Important component of activity of URPS – support of the projects directed to improvement of processes of a production system.

This year work was conducted on 39 projects created according to offers of divisions and URPS. The course of accomplishment is considered at weekly meetings of coordination council on development of PSS and is estimated at exit meetings, on production sites.

The most part of projects will be complete in 2016, a small part according to the solution of the branch director and CEO is postponed for 2017.

Each project is in own way important, we mean and is interesting. It is possible to note the project implemented by the chief mechanical engineer Oleg Zatsepin and the chief engineer Dmitry Goncharov, "Implementation of the information management system technology service and repair based on the software of 1C". It is visible that the project is done not for "tick", and for convenience and efficiency in work.

Also several years the "Planning of the Organization and Control of Accomplishment of the Production Schedule" project which head is the head of department information technologies Dmitry Shpak is implemented and develops. This project already took prizes at tender of the PSS projects. We can see "an iceberg top" in the form of so-called information terminals using which workers can, including, come into a personal account, look at all information, necessary for them, or submit suggestions for improvement.

Work on increase in efficiency of modular and assembly production in workshops No. 45 and 3 is continued".

Almost in three years of application of a management system for rationalization (kaizen) proposals of all 2995 proposals which significantly influenced performance improvement of work at the plant were submitted. For 2016 the number of the submitted proposals increased till 1318 (in 2014 – 600, in 2015 – 1077). The number of the implemented offers in 2016 was 767 (in 2014 – 233, in 2015 – 577). The most part of offers is directed to quality improvement of products and the performed works, improvement of the organization of a workplace and working conditions.

Program implementation "The effective organization of jobs and visualization (5S) – a signal marking" allows to reduce dead times on search by the worker of the necessary tool and, as a result, to increase labor productivity. Within the program over 2000 jobs in workshops of branch where sorting of the used tools and materials so that necessary devices and tools were located in the most effective way for their quick search is made are covered.

The employees who made the greatest contribution to development of "The Effective Organization of Jobs and Visualization (5S) — a Signal Marking" and "Rationalization (Kaizen) Offers" programs are awarded with diplomas in The Best Workplace and The Best Rationalizer nominations, and the workshops of productions of the military and civil aircraft equipment which reached the highest rates in implementation of these programs are awarded ranks "The Best Workshop — the Leader of Progress".
