In the State archive of the Oryol region the Russian scanner with a deep cradle is installed

ELAR corporation delivered an autonomous complex of planetary scanning of ELARSKAN A2-650 in the State archive of the Oryol region. Acquisition of the scanner by archive was initiated and paid by Vadim Bogdanov who is amateur researcher. Using the scanner in archive will transfer to an electronic form of case up to 50 kilograms and back up to 50 centimeters thick.

6,895 funds containing 1,390,854 units hr are stored in the State archive of the Oryol region. on a paper basis. The most ancient documentary sources are the Collection of columns for 1614-1752 and the Collection of the diplomas dated for 1686-1896. "Collections of columns, diplomas and revizsky fairy tales were partially digitized within federal and regional state programs, however the volume of electronic copies, both documents, and explanatory notes, at us still not really big, - the director of state archive of the Oryol region Yulia Aparina tells. – Using the new equipment we are going to digitize systematically NSA which are most demanded by users both the most shabby and valuable affairs".

According to the director of archive, the most important property of ELARSKAN A2-650 is that with its help it is possible to transfer to an electronic form practically any documents to A2 format. The cradle of the scanner works both in flat, and in the adaptive mode that allows to digitize flat documents and affairs which thickness of a back is up to 50 cm, and weight – up to 50 kg. In state archive of the Oryol region such characteristics have, for example, revizsky fairy tales and also put the Oryol provincial board from fund. The cradle of the scanner has independent automatic adjustment of provision of lodgments that guarantees care with originals at digitization.
