Ericsson and Microsoft accelerated creation of services of Internet of Things

On May 18, 2017 it became known of intention of Ericsson and Microsoft to help the enterprises and to accelerate processes of start of the services on the platform of Internet of Things (IoT) provided by means of mobile communication. At the heart of it Ericsson IoT Accelerator and Microsoft Azure technologies work.

Ericsson IoT Accelerator allows to unroll IoT-services by means of the Microsoft Azure platform using the services for management of connections working at the Ericsson Device Connection Platform (DCP) platform. DCP is a part[1].

Microsoft Azure implements two cloud models - the platform as service (PaaS) and infrastructure as service (IaaS). The operability of the Windows platform of Azure provides network of global data centers Microsoft.

The platform gives to the enterprises the chance to provide the unified services for all the devices connected to Internet of Things.

For May 18, 2017 Ericsson IoT Accelerator is a software horizontal cloud technology for support of design and implementation of technologies in the field of Internet of Things.

The product covers platform services, services, approximate to products, for telecom operators and a number of the industries. The technology provides growth of number of the functions offered by the principle of the services providing creation and implementing solutions for Internet of Things.
