Ford Sollers upgraded media infrastructure in training center

On May 25, 2017 the Asteros group announced the project of the organization of a technology platform for training of dealers of Ford company in Russia.

Project Tasks

The customer company regularly holds the training events for technical and administrative personnel of official dealers in Training center. For expansion of functionality of multimedia infrastructure of Training center, reliability augmentation and non-failure operation of its work, the company attracted the Asteros group.

The integrator should unroll a multifunction multimedia system which helped to conduct offline and online actions of any level.

Project Progress

Specialists of Asteros designed and implemented a multimedia system a training center at the heart of which the concept of mobility. Multimedia infrastructure provides students with audio-and video services as in the mode of separate classes, and a uniform conference room.

Within the project the system of centralized operation is unrolled, it allows to control operation of all multimedia equipment of training center by means of wireless panels and the touchpad. Remote control of microphones and video cameras is supported by use of the tablet.

Project Results

The unrolled complex is equipped with the system of wireless data transmission from personal computers and mobile devices of users at the expense of display – screens and TV-panels. A multimedia system can work in several modes, including manual, automatic and semi-automatic. In the latter case use of in advance prepared scenarios of synchronous work of an audio-and video equipment is provided.

The created infrastructure is constructed on the basis of modern hardware platforms. Its core - the cross-point switch Extron by means of which the problem of reduction of transmission time of audiovisual information on output devices is solved.

A multimedia system provides remote control of PTZ cameras of Sony which direction of shooting can be changed depending on the events in training center: "direct" at the specific speaker or all conference room. Sound reproduction is implemented using RCF speaker systems.

Specialists of Asteros integrated the system of a sinkhroperevod into the created multimedia infrastructure. Within the project the integrator partially upgraded the Boardroom multimedia system.

Ford Sollers gives timely information support to all main target audiences: to the staff of the company, representatives of media of community, staff of the dealer organizations. Base for informing key audiences and permanent development of competences of personnel of the dealer centers is our Training center in which we present models of cars, tell about technical and engineering new products, we will see off important marketing and business actions. The multitasking a training center caused requirements to a multimedia system: it should be hi-tech and the most flexible. Such we represented it and colleagues from Asteros realized our desires. Feature of the created multimedia infrastructure of Ford Sollers is its high adaptability under different operational tasks: from video calls and webinars prior to trainings and large meetings. A system easily "adapts" to transformation of the premises of training center – whether it be one big conference room or several training zones. At its design we considered modern requirements to mobility: you can easily show the presentation of the performance from the personal notebook or the smartphone – any wire for this purpose is not required. Are sure that the multimedia platform will have a direct impact on quality of training of personnel, having added to learning process even more technological effectiveness and innovation.
