In Mineralnye Vody works on creation of a medical cluster for 162 billion rubles started

The innovation medical cluster in the territory of Caucasus Mineralnye Vody region is designed to integrate to integrate in one place natural features of Mineralnye Vody with treatment, rehabilitation, science and education.

Implements the "Corporation of Development of the North Caucasus" project, supervises — Minkavkaz of Russia. It is included in the state program of the Russian Federation for development of North Caucasus federal district till 2025.

The beginning of development of the technical project to the design estimates of a medical cluster

On November 22, 2017 "Corporation of Development of the North Caucasus" (CDNC) announced the beginning of work on preparation of technical specifications on development of the design estimates of a medical cluster in the territory of Caucasus Mineralnye Vody region upon completion of which it is going to announce competition on design of anchor objects and engineering infrastructure of a medical cluster.

According to the statement of corporation, the stage is final before design of a medical cluster. In its framework the pre-project documentation, including preliminary schemes of zoning of the land plot and design of objects of a medical cluster will be prepared. It is expected that the documents prepared according to the results of a stage will allow the management of the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs, KRSK and representatives of expert advice to make the right decisions on interaction with future winner of competition on development of the design estimates and also by determination of characteristics of the created objects. In particular, as specified in KRSK, a strict framework for designers will be set.

In general the concept of a medical cluster in Caucasus Mineralnye Vody region assumes creation of university clinic, medical university and research center. Besides, construction of three medical clinics, technopark and objects of social infrastructure and also 7 centers of rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment in regions of North Caucasus federal district is planned. As envisioned by authors of the concept, based on a medical cluster patients will be able to receive a full stroke of services: diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation.

According to KRSK, the medical cluster is created on the basis of public-private partnership. Public finance will be directed to creation of engineering infrastructure, construction and equipping of university clinic, medical university and research center. In general the total amount of investments into the project is estimated at 162.1 billion rubles from which 40 billion rubles will be financed at the expense of budgetary funds.

Are called key project tasks: providing residents of North Caucasus federal district with hi-tech medical aid, creation of the domestic center of medical tourism, education and training of qualified personnel in the field of health care, stimulation of scientific developments in medicine, development and upgrade of health resort.

Agreement with GE Healthcare on information and consulting support

On June 1, 2017 "Corporation of Development of the North Caucasus" (CDNC) and producer of the medical equipment GE Healthcare announced cooperation in the project of creation of the innovation medical cluster in Mineralnye Vody. The agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Interfax tells.

KRSK and GE Healthcare agreed about formation of the working groups for project implementation and joint determination of the perspective directions and key requirements to hardware of objects of a medical cluster and opportunities for implementation of different advanced technological solutions.

GE Healthcare will help to create a medical cluster in the Caucasus

GE Healthcare will also provide information and consulting support on technical aspects of the project and will promote carrying out the training programs for the medical personnel of a cluster.

According to the head of KRSK Sergey Kharitonov, interaction of KRSK with GE Healthcare will allow at the modern level to design effective technology model of the project and also it is essential to strengthen its educational part.

The concept of the innovation medical cluster assumes consolidation of the best Russian and international medical the practician for achievement of level of the medical services comparable to the highest international standards of quality and efficiency of medical care" — said the first zamministr to the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus, the chairman of the board of directors of KRSK Odes Baysultanov.

The innovation medical cluster — one of the Russia's first projects of federal importance which will allow to integrate in one territory unique natural features of Caucasus Mineralnye Vody region with treatment, rehabilitation, science and education. The university clinic, the medical university and research center will become its main elements.^[1]
