2017: Opening of office in Russia

The Taiwanese company of Sercomm Corporation announced in June, 2017 opening of office in Russia and the work plans in our country. The Russian division will be engaged in development of software and also in is going to organize in the Russian Federation equipment manufacturing - home routers and surveillance cameras.

Sercomm Corporation works at the Russian market since 2010. The office Sercomm is located in technopark Otradnoye in the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow. In Russia the company is going to develop on the same way, as well as in China which market Sercomm entered in 2000.

The president and the CEO of Sercomm Corporation Jase Vang noted: "Opening of office in Russia is a major step for Sercomm because it is our first software development center out of China. Before the organization of local production in China we took care of creation of service of development engineers who can create program and hardware parts of products. When we created engineering service and when our development engineers reached necessary skill level, we began to create own production".

At the Russian office 15 people work, however the state will extend. The company first of all is going to employ software developers and hardware platforms.

"We consider the Russian market perspective, there are a lot of business opportunities. Within 3-4 years we expect to triple the number of personnel, till 40-50 people", - James Vang told. He emphasized that he intends to allocate the Russian personnel with stocks of Sercomm to motivate them better to work.

Later the Russian office Sercomm will provide business development of the Taiwan corporation not only in Russia, but also in Europe and in Central Asia. James Vang considers that the office will be able to become the global hub of the company working both on Europe, and to Asia.

The CEO of the Russian representative office of Sercomm Fedorov Gleb noted: The choice "technopark for placement of office was connected with several factors - price relation and qualities and also privileges for the IT companies. In particular, the resident of technopark will pay smaller income tax. Our company has no such qualification yet, but essentially such opportunity exists. We want to develop software, to be engaged in the IoT direction and, the most important, to develop examination of Sercomm in the Russian market".

According to him, the company delivers to Russia more than one million devices a year. More than a half of them, about 600 thousand devices, Sercomm delivers for such customers as Rostelecom and MGTS.

To manufacture the equipment in Russia, the company is going or to organize assembly under the contract, or joint venture for assembly of devices. A question in a discussion stage with two platforms, however yet there is no contract. It is planned that devices will gather from component base and software which will be made in Russia.

"It inevitably means serious increase in prices for Sercomm products in Russia. But we organizationally are also technology ready to it, - Gleb Fedorov noted. - But in uslovyakh regulatory risks, we are ready to organize production in Russia. Moreover, we think that at the correct approaches it is possible to get from it additional benefits".
