The memorial estate "Old Ladoga" scans documents

In 2017 ELAR Corporation delivered the planetary scanner of ELARSKAN A2 to the Old Ladoga historical and architectural and archaeological reserve. The new equipment is purchased by the museum for digitization of both accounting documents, and exhibits.

"We will transfer to an electronic form accounting documentation – arrivals books and stock record books, - the chief keeper of memorial estate "Old Ladoga" of Yuli Prokofiev tells. – Besides, in our plans digitization of documents, documentary photographs and rare books from the relevant funds for transfer of images of museum objects in Goskatalog of Museum fund of the Russian Federation".

In fund of the rare book of memorial estate hand-written (generally Old Belief) and printing monuments of the XVIII-XX centuries are provided. "For scanning of books from our museum scanners of tablet type do not resemble, - Yulia Prokofieva says, - the special equipment providing contactless digitization what ELARSKAN of A2 is is necessary. It is also important that the delivered scanner is equipped with a cradle for V-shaped and flat scanning which can be adapted for original back thickness".

ELARSKAN A2 is the universal device for transfer to a digital format of books of a different format and different thickness, volumes, albums, filings of documents, folders, drawings, maps and posters, etc. According to the deputy manager of department of ELAR corporation on work with the museums Evgeny Mokeev, the scanner is equipped with a professional optical system, the built-in functions of software processing operations of digital copies that does it convenient in use.
