"ELAR" created mobile application for "FIPS"

2018: Mobile application of SEDKP

On November 28, 2018 ELAR company reported that it created mobile application of the Electronic document management system and control of instructions (SEDKP) in the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIIP). According to the company, the functionality of SEDKP is developed and available to operational work with the documents requiring consideration by leadership team.

FIPS performs the activity connected with intellectual property items – acceptance and examination of requests for objects of patent law, registration of the rights to inventions, trademarks and other intellectual property items according to national and international requests. Often heads of Institute need to obtain information on emergence of requests, including is "marked urgent", for fast appointment of contractors and imposing of resolutions. With respect thereto there was a need for the simple and convenient tool providing access to SEDKP in mode 24x7. Thanks to mobile application a system became available from the personal tablet – at any time and from any place. Thus, it is possible to browse far off incoming letters, citizens' appeals, drafts of the internal orders and documents expecting vising or signing of the head, to see the list of the persons who vised the document and to use other functions for operational consideration of documents.

Project implementation allowed us to solve an important problem of online access to a system. For November, 2018 in the round-the-clock mode the head can browse and estimate the document requiring decision-making. Heads quickly, even in time off, can get acquainted with the important entering and outgoing correspondence - it increases efficiency of Institute. 2017: Service for inclusion of domestic patent documentation in NEB

ELAR corporation developed special service for inclusion of domestic patent documentation in the National Digital Library (NDL).

The service set on servers of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIIP) is integrated with the software of the operator of NEB – the Russian state library. The developed application will regularly allow to fill the National digital library with descriptions of inventions and useful models to copyright certificates and patents.

"Within the project, in addition to application programming, ELAR are also performed converting of the digitized documents which are stored in FIPS from a graphic format in the PDF format, their indexing and inclusion of this documentation in NEB", - the director of the department of work with libraries and universities of ELAR corporation Natalia Kachina told. – Now in NEB can look for information on 2.3 million the patent documents dated the period from 1924 to 2016".

Users of the National digital library had an opportunity to find patent data in a new information resource by last name the author, to the name of the applicant/patent holder, the name and the complete text of the document.
