Airports of Thailand completed upgrade of a communication network

On June 21, 2017 the InfiNet company announced upgrade of communication networks by request of the Airports of Thailand enterprise.

Project Tasks

Fundamental obligation of analytical centers of the enterprise - the fast and uninterrupted information processing necessary for management of a passenger traffic in terminals. The solution existing in the airports worked at fiber optic network which functionality was broken because of pouring rains, damages of cables by rodents. This vulnerability of network caused a number of failures, including violation of process of transfer of the main data stream and regular losses of audio-and video traffic^[1].

AOT addressed Easy Networks system integrator, the partner InfiNet in Thailand, with the order for solution development for replacement of a cable network.

Project Progress

Easy Networks created the universal solution and unrolled a wireless network in the territory of four airports - Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Muang, Ubonratchatkhani and Phuket.

The technology InfiNet became guarantee of successful implementation of this project. Now all networks of the AOT airports function based on the reliable solution for seamless and uninterrupted transfer of data streams of all types. Experts of AOT can conduct online monitoring and management of all characteristics of a passenger traffic, raising the security level and reliability of all airports. The client selected technology from a product family of InfiLINK 2x2 with capacity to 280 Mbps and a coverage of network> 80 km ².

Project Results

Use of the solution helped to unroll network at all airports, to provide fast and soft junction from the old platform. All channels of a transport network of topology "point-to-point" are equipped with standard modular transformers with E1 interface and capacity to 2 Mbps for seamless transfer between zones of the airport of video and voice data, information on a passenger traffic.

AOT needed the solution which would allow to concentrate more on the analysis of the daily tasks connected with development and management of the airports and to forget about potential damages of networks. Thanks to our solutions and support of Easy Networks at the local level at each AOT airport we unrolled the wireless network allowing to execute online monitoring and to manage all characteristics of a passenger traffic at the same time to raise the security level and reliability of all airports.
