In June, 2017 the JPMorgan Chase bank announced placement in a cloud of a management system for heating, air conditioning and lighting in the departments. Thanks to it the company intends to reduce energy consumption and to optimize work of personnel.
According to the Reuters news agency with reference to the administration manager of JPMorgan retail bank Sol Gindi, management of climate control and lighting in 4500 branches is transferred to the operational center placed in cloud infrastructure. Now the staff of these divisions will be able to focus on accomplishment of the tasks and not to spend time for setup of thermostats and replacement of bulbs, Gindi noted, having added that the new project will allow to save 15% of expenses on electricity.
The edition specifies that about $20 million a year — the tiny amount in comparison with annual expenses of $58 billion which are incurred by bank in total are about economy. It is much more important that the new initiative supports jobs and provides comfortable conditions to clients, Saul Gindi reported.

The cloud control of the climatic equipment and illumination of JPMorgan is implemented on the basis of the sensors of production of General Electric connected to the Internet. Away from the project there were about 700 bank departments for various reasons, including because of lease of buildings and lack of technical capability of implementation of the advanced system.[1]
