Aquaflair is a line of air cooling systems of data centers.
On June 28, 2017 the Schneider Electric company provided a lineup of advanced TRA chillers of the Aquaflair family.
As a part of a line three modifications of Aquaflair are TRAC, TRAF, TRAH:
- TRAC-chillers of air cooling,
- TRAF is air cooling with function of a free air flow
- TRAH are chillers with the thermal pump.
In the Aquaflair family the lineup of TSA chillers appeared:
- TSAC - with air cooling
- TSAF with freecooling.
Both lineups are created for use in data centers of high category of reliability - Tier III and Tier IV on Uptime Institute classification, can be used for cooling of the important equipment of DPCs.
TRA chillers with a refrigerating capacity from 116 to 400 kW offer the choice of options and custom configurations that facilitates design and installation of cooling systems of DPC. The lineup of TRA was replenished with two solutions - device 2842A with power from 260 to 280 kW, depending on the scheme of cooling, and model 4142A with a power about 400 kW.
TRAC/F devices provide a power range from 120 to 350 kW. The TRAC/F models with a refrigerating capacity up to 260 kW are equipped with the microchannel heat exchanger, in more powerful models more than 300 kW for operation of chillers at high temperatures of fresh air in addition can be used the adiabatic mechanism of cooling on the basis of the evaporating water.
According to recommendations for the equipment of DPCs of the Tier III and Tier IV levels two inputs of power supply with automatic switching of the transfer switch are provided in Aquaflair TRA and TSA chillers (Automatic Transfer Switch, ATS). There is a separate input for connection of a management system for compressors and the device to the UPS.
It is possible to manage chillers locally, by means of the 7-inch touch screen and far off, by means of protocols SNMP Modbus, TCP/IP and other. The special PID-algorithm for regulation of temperature of the cooled water is built in the microcontroller.
Hermetic scroll compressors work with the built-in heat protection from the brushless electric motor connected via the inverter. Such scheme provides rotating speed adjustment (Variable Speed Drive, VSD), soft start. As coolant R410A freon is used.
Original construction of chillers ensures their continuous and trouble-free functioning, including for the most responsible application. Chillers of the TSA series distinguish compressors with the invertor drive with changeable rotating speed thanks to what smooth adjustment of refrigerating capacity at a partial load is possible, there are no starting currents. Microchannel heat exchangers in TRA chillers also allowed to increase energy efficiency of chillers at a partial and overall load, to offer customers more compact equipment with new standard sizes.
