Creation of unified information environment for an organiazation of collective work of staff of the company. Creation of the uniform communication channel between geographically distributed network of Tekhnopark company.

Solution

The company management stopped the choice on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, in connection with several advantages, such as:

• Microsoft SharePoint can act as a corporate portal: these are forums, the Wiki, blogs and RSS where the staff of the company can discuss different issues. Employees will be aware always of the latest events from life of the company.
• Microsoft SharePoint has convenient and the intuitive interface which allows to appoint with ease tasks to the employees and to control their execution.
• There is a possibility of creation of electronic archive of the company where documents can be stored in different formats.
• The developed system of access rights allows to set the rights to commission of action with each object or record. Document retrieval is also performed easily and quickly.
• Link establishment between objects of SharePoint and Outlook: address directory, tasks, calendars, discussions, libraries of documents, etc.

Besides, due to use of a corporate portal employees will work jointly on documents, having involved the workflow system, the company will seriously save on the speed of passing of transactions, horizontal communications between divisions will become much more effective and the need for business trips at geographically distributed structure of the company is minimized. Also, within the project, the following works were performed: implementation of the general design for SharePoint, development of a web part of the fortune of traffic jams, a design of a web part of currency rate of the Central Bank, registration of a web part of world time, registration of a web part of weather, registration of news, design of the Birthday boys block, design of the Innovations block, execution of announcements of events, execution of the film of messages of a forum, deployment of design on the server of Technopark and configuration of the homepage.

Project Results

Implementation of a corporate portal increases quality of work and customer service of the company thanks to what company competitiveness in the market grows, the image of the company rises in the opinion of employees and clients, and business performance in general as a result increases.
