Inforesource completed the construction of DPC

On July 4, 2017 the LANIT company announced the project of creation of DPC of level of fault tolerance Tier III Uptime Institute in St. Petersburg by request of Inforesource company.

Project Results

The data processing center of the Inforesource information and technical center (ITC) received the certificate of Tier Design Uptime Institute and confirmed compliance to the Tier Standard standard: Topology. An inspection was carried out by consulting company Uptime Institute.

According to the selected architectural concept, the DPC Inforesource is placed on section of 2 hectares. Section is equipped with necessary security systems.

In the territory are located:

• administrative building,
• constructions for fuel storage,
• distribution node of power supply
• automobile parkings.

The total area of data center is 6400 m ². 11 machine halls. In them about 2.4 thousand standard IT racks up to 48U high for installation of server and telecommunication equipment can be placed.

Equipment capacity of one IT rack from 6 kW to 20 kW. Parameter of energy efficiency of an object (Power Usage Effectiveness, PUE) ~ 1.25.

Initially we set LANIT a condition that used in the project all technologies and solutions were certified by the independent international expert – Uptime Institute. This approach allows us to avoid initially a set of problems and costs at construction of DPC, and the subsequent planned certification on the Constructed Facility standard guarantees to our clients smooth operation of their IT equipment and services in our DPC. I want to note that it is the first certification of Uptime Institute in the Northern Capital of Russia. I hope that not far off and start-up of the platform in operation. For us it is the first project with power more than 21 MW. At a stage of the choice of technologies and the equipment for application in the project we broke many copies, and unambiguously we can be proud of the received result. A ratio of TSO (Total Cost of Ownership or total cost of ownership) and energy efficiency (PUE) of the designed object it is optimal for the large-scale DPC specializing in rendering commercial services of collocation and cloud services.
