Solution

Microsoft Project implementation project in the large construction organization for conducting end-to-end planning and control of execution of all sections of construction: from release of the work documentation before ensuring accomplishment of warranty works. The Conteq company offered application of Microsoft Project for project management in construction. At implementation of Microsoft Project own practices which allowed to consider features of management of construction projects were applied:

  • Estimate calculation of costs, calculation of costs for analogy or calculation of costs from internal standards
  • Planning of structure of works, terms and volumes from top to down - gradually detailing the working schedule
  • Organization of works with own forces and work with subcontractors
  • The human resource can be mashino-mechanisms and people. Work with a compound resource with selection of a managing resource
  • Execution of works on territorially remote sections, is frequent without continuous communication the Internet
  • Budgeting and cost control in a format of estimate calculation

Result

During the project the Project tools were used to work planning from estimates or on the basis of intra-corporate standards, parallel maintaining several physical volumes and costs for one task, exchange forms for collecting of actual data from contractors and many other things. Also the integration module with the ERP system was developed.
