The Russian Railway rolled the technologies of automation allowing to replace hundreds of employees

Implementation of the innovative technologies at the station Luga the Ust-Luzhsky transport hub allowed to provide decrease in number of staff of involved farms on 246 people, and economy of wage fund made 148.3 million rubles. The Russian Railway reported about it in the annual report for 2016.
The Russian Railway specified TAdviser that assessment on personnel in comparison with standard staff lists which are adopted on other freight stations is given in the report. So employees from the station were not dismissed, and initially during its creation recruited them less.
The Luga station is new and acts as a polygon of the innovative technologies of work of switchyards according to the strategy of scientific and technical development of the Russian Railway until 2020 and perspective till 2025.
In total at the Luga station 14 systems providing automation of production processes including controls of the locomotive, fixing of the rolling stock without participation of the worker, management of station processes, centralized operation by shooters, signals were implemented. Work of hump locomotives at dissolution of structures for 90.6% of the general time is performed without participation of the driver.
The Russian Railway told TAdviser that, in particular, at the Luga station two completely automated boiler houses are built, the electrical heating system of railroad switches is installed, the station is equipped with the complex allowing to reveal technical faults of the rolling stock, violation of loading and fastening of a load during the movement of the train.
In 2015 opening of a sorting system of the Luga station took place. It is equipped with the system of hump automation MSR-32 of production of Siemens which manages sorting process and performs formation of freight trains in the automatic mode. The Russian Railway notes that MSR-32 system allows to achieve the maximum automation, without restriction by the nature of a load, all processes on a hump yard, including dissolution of structures, management of shooters, decelerators and osazhivatel.
Information from all measuring devices and sensors at the station comes to MSR-32 system, after data processing control of the hump locomotive, brake positions and other technology objects is exercised. The most important information on work of a hump yard and also results of formation of trains moves in real time on a dispatcher station. In Russia it is the first experience of use of this equipment, told TAdviser in the Russian Railway.
Earlier in one of annual reports of the Russian Railway noted that use of the approaches to control automation by the transport hub which are implemented on Luga should become a basis for design and upgrade of switchyards on all network of the railroads of the Russian Federation on perspective till 2025. In the Russian Railway could not tell TAdviser about specific plans and perspectives of further replication of these technologies for network of the railroads.
