Wholesale sales of tea and coffee processing equipment in Russia for the year increased by 25%

In 2024, the production of equipment for processing tea and coffee Russia reached 59.2 million, rubles which is 24.7% higher than the result of the previous year. These data, which the analytical company Alto Consulting Group cited in its report TAdviser , were reviewed in January 2026.

The Central Federal District provided 95% of the total output, which in monetary terms amounted to 56.2 million rubles. The concentration of production in the Central Federal District is explained by the developed industrial infrastructure, the availability of qualified personnel and logistics advantages.

Wholesale sales of tea and coffee processing equipment in Russia increased by 25% over the year

The rest of the regions produced a total of 3 million rubles worth of equipment. The Volga Federal District produced products for 1.8 million rubles, the North-West and other districts - for 1.2 million rubles. These volumes are mainly focused on local customers and small processing companies.

The key growth factors of the industry were the increase in tea and coffee consumption in the Russian Federation, the renewal of production lines, as well as the development of new models of equipment with improved characteristics. The emphasis is on process automation, energy saving and environmental friendliness of technology.

Analytical company Alto Consulting Group predicts the continuation of positive dynamics in subsequent years. The central district will maintain a dominant position, while other regions can increase their share by focusing on the specific needs of local markets.

The main areas of development will be the creation of high-performance and energy-efficient lines, the development of equipment for processing specialized and organic raw materials, optimization of quality control and expansion of service support.

Thus, the industry is showing steady growth, supported by technological development and a strategy to replace foreign products.[1]

The production of equipment for washing, filling and clogging bottles in Russia for the year decreased by 26% to 166.0 thousand units

The production of equipment for washing, filling, plugging and packaging in Russia in 2024 amounted to 166.0 thousand units, a decrease of 25.9% compared to 2023. This is evidenced by the data of the analytical company Alto Consulting Group, released in October 2025.

Production has undergone significant changes under the influence of structural changes in industry and changes in investment activity. Despite shrinking volumes, the market remains resilient and interest in upgrading production lines is growing. The Siberian Federal District became the leader, providing 87.9% of the total volume.

The production of equipment for washing, filling and clogging bottles in Russia for the year decreased by 26%

The decrease in the output of bottle washing and packaging equipment is due to several factors:

  • Structural restructuring of industry. The enterprises reoriented production facilities to produce other equipment. Changing priorities in mechanical engineering influenced the distribution of resources between areas.
  • Change in investment activity. Enterprises postponed capital purchases of new equipment for filling and packaging. The high cost of borrowing has reduced the investment activity of industrial companies.
  • Technological changes. The transition to new production standards takes time to adapt. The introduction of modern automation systems has temporarily reduced the production of traditional equipment.
  • Localize components. Replacing imported parts with domestic ones required reconfiguring production lines. The period of adaptation to new suppliers of components slowed down the pace of production.
  • Increased competition among domestic producers. An increase in the number of players in the market led to the redistribution of orders. Competition encourages manufacturers to improve product quality instead of increasing volumes.

Wholesale sales of equipment for the production of bakery products in Russia for the year increased by 4% to ₽4 billion

The production of equipment for the production of bakery products in Russia in 2024 reached ₽4,05 billion, which is 4.0% higher than in 2023. The main production center for the year was the Volga Federal District, which provided about 37.7% of the total output. This region is traditionally the industrial core of Russia in the field of mechanical engineering for the food industry, where leading enterprises producing dough kneading machines, ovens, baking and packing lines are concentrated. This was announced by the analytical company Alto Consulting Group in October 2025.

Despite the moderate growth rate, the industry is showing steady development and gradual recovery after a difficult period of market fluctuations and changes in supply chains. For the period from 2022 to 2024, the average prices of manufacturers of bakery equipment increased by 65.0% - from ₽120 234.0 to ₽198 329.1 per unit of production. In July 2025, a significant decrease of 30.2% was recorded compared to June, to the level of ₽74 674.8 apiece.

The volume of wholesale sales of equipment for the manufacture of bakery products in Russia increased by 4% over the year, reaching more than 4 billion rubles

The fluctuation in prices is associated with both a change in the structure of demand and with the temporary saturation of the market after the peak of investments in the period 2023-2024. The production of equipment for the bakery industry is a strategically important area of Russian engineering, ensuring the technological independence of the food sector. Without a reliable fleet of machines, it is impossible to develop bakery production, modernize lines and expand the range of products.

Modern models are highly energy efficient, accurate parameters and the ability to integrate into digital production control systems. In 2024, the bakery equipment segment saw moderate growth amid increased demand from small and medium-sized businesses. The areas of craft baking and the production of functional bakery products were actively developing, which stimulated the demand for specialized equipment of small and medium capacity.[3]

The production of equipment for the food industry in Russia over the year increased by a third and reached ₽377 billion

The production of equipment for the food and processing industry in Russia increased by a third in 2024 and reached ₽377 billion. The volume of production in aggregate for all segments for the year increased by almost 55% compared to 2023 and amounted to ₽216 billion. This was announced on June 26, 2025 by the secretariat of First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov following a meeting on the development of food engineering.

According to the press service of the Russian Government, more than 270 enterprises are involved in the production of equipment for the food and processing industries. The growth leader was the livestock equipment sector.

The volume of production of equipment for the food industry in the Russian Federation for the year increased by 33%, amounting to 377 billion rubles

To support domestic manufacturers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is implementing a program to subsidize discounts on special equipment and equipment. For four years from 2021 to 2024, almost 81 thousand pieces of equipment were implemented within the framework of the program.

The subsidy program in the next three years provides for ₽38 billion. Of this amount, ₽12 billion will be directed to support in 2025. The funds will stimulate the purchase of high-performance Russian equipment.

In parallel, the state provides support through research and development work. Food engineering enterprises have access to preferential loans from the Industrial Development Fund.

State support measures are focused on projects that are implemented in accordance with the technical tasks of food industry enterprises. During the meeting, they presented the first results on projects organized within the framework of such interaction.

Special attention was paid to the issue of re-equipment with domestic equipment of catering units in educational institutions of the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. Work in this area has been ongoing since 2023.[4]

A factory for the production of robots for making fast food has begun work in Tver. ₽0,5 billion invested in it

RoboLabs has opened a new plant in Tver for the production of automated equipment for catering and trade enterprises. The launch of production with investments of ₽0,5 billion became known on November 20, 2024. Read more here.
