TCB001FNG
On February 26, 2018 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company expanded the range of the IC of 4-channel amplifiers of power for the automobile systems and provided the device with high quality of a sound and the low level of distortions in the body for surface mount. The IC TCB001FNG is manufactured using the "net" CMOS process developed as a result of researches of Toshiba in the field of the IC for automobile audio systems and allowing to reduce cost value.
The device has functions of detection and suppression of abnormal noises on the basis of own technology of filtering of Toshiba company. It is especially relevant in situations when a source of high-frequency noises, for example, the mobile phone, is near the audio system.
The maximum power output of TCB001FNG is 45 W during the work in a 4-channel system with a resistance of loading of 4 Ohms. Supply voltage can change from 6 to 18 V that allows to idle also at engine start. The full-function solution includes such built-in functions as shutdown of a sound, a standby mode, determination of bias voltage and detection of short circuit.
Different security circuits, including shutdown when overheating, protection against overvoltage, short circuit on a power supply (Vcc), ground faults and short circuits between exits are also implemented.
Instead of the popular HZIP body with outputs of the IC TCB001FNG is issued in the flat package HSSOP for surface mount. Such type of the body increases reliability of systems, reducing complexity and cost of assembly.
TCB701FNG
The Toshiba Electronics Europe company in January, 2018 announced development of the IC of the 4-channel line amplifier of power of the class AB providing a qualitative sound playback in automobile audio systems at decrease in energy consumption.
At the efficiency of work comparable with digital amplifiers of a class D, the IC TCB701FNG consumes only 10% of power of traditional amplifiers of the class AB thanks to use of the patented technology (in normal conditions of operation: from 0.5 to 4 W). The cost of components falls approximately half in comparison with class D alternatives as filtering of electromagnetic interferences and low frequencies is not required, explained in Toshiba.
In combination with work with the low level of noise of TCB701FNG also contains an expanded set of the functions of self-diagnostics allowing to trace different error conditions and to announce them on the bus I2C. Among them — permanent function of detection of failure of shift of a direct current at the exit. It allows to prevent burning out of loudspeakers and increases the general reliability.
Additional functions include suppression of high-frequency noise, protection against cross connection of exits, protection against the increased and lowered tension, three levels of detection of overheating, management of a standby mode and disconnections of a sound and also noise cutoff from GSM devices.
The IC Toshiba TCB701FNG is issued in the HSSOP body with 36 outputs and can be used both in regime of the power amplifier, and in the mode of the line amplifier. The device can work at supply voltage from 6 to 18 V, has 4 channels on 49 W and is compatible to loudspeakers with a nominal resistance of 2 Ohms. Interference voltage at the exit is only 60 mkv (root mean square value).
Deliveries of fact-finding samples will begin in January, 2018.
2017: TCB502HQ
On July 13, 2017 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company announced the beginning of production of the IC of the 4-channel amplifier of power (49 W) with determination of voltage output of shift in the course of reproduction.
TCB502HQ contains constantly included scheme of determination of voltage output of shift, it works during a sound playback, preventing burning out of loudspeakers.
The power amplifier is intended for high-quality automobile audio systems and contains the built-in feed-back circuit on current for sounding quality improvement, similar used in audio systems of the top class. This solution prevents decline in quality of sounding with the broad range of frequencies and provides stable sound quality, especially at reproduction of sound of musical instruments and a human voice.
The 4-channel device has the maximum power of 49 W on the canal and works at supply voltage in the range from 6 to 18 V. of IC of TCB502HQ is issued in the HZIP25-P-1.00F body and contains a number of schemes of thermal protection, protection against overvoltage and short circuit of exits.
For July 13, 2017 serial production of the IC TCB502HQ is conducted, products are available to the order.
