SVFuA is the integrated system of a radio communication of the German armed forces.
The SVFuA system works by the principle of software-defined radio (SDR) and provides the reliable and secure communication classified at the level of SECRET. When developing one of key national technologies the Rohde & Schwarz company took own cryptographic development as a basis.
In 2009 responsibility for the general design of all system in general and also for development of a prototype of the basic module and a possibility of its start in serial production was conferred on Rohde&Schwarz company.
In 2016 the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) confirmed that the certified requirements extending to the classification SECRET level are observed.
As a radio system was developed according to requirements of the Architecture of Software Tools of Communication Software Communications Architecture (SCA)/" standard", the used national and international waveforms can be transferred to the considered radio system during the whole time while these waveforms also conform to requirements of the SCA standard.
