Destruction of Service, DeOS service Interruption
Malefactors can use IoT-botnets (the botnets including devices from the sphere of Internet of Things) as the platform for the large-scale, having catastrophic effects attacks which are capable to destroy the Internet.
In the report on information security for the first half of 2017 experts of Cisco company point to distribution of new type of threats - the attacks like "service interruption" (destruction of service, DeOS) which are capable to destroy backup copies and the safety systems (safety net) necessary for the organizations for recovery of systems and data after the attack. With the advent of Internet of Things (Internet of Things, IoT) more and more transactions in key industries are transferred to the online mode that expands the horizon of the attacks, increase their scales and aggravate effects, researchers note.
