2017: New version
In July, 2017 the Samsung NeuroLogica company submitted the new version of the computer BodyTom tomograph. The scanner under the name BodyTom Elite received the updated design and also the upgraded hardware and program components. Also the workstation is improved.
In the device linear and step calibration for navigation accuracy at axial and spiral scanning appeared. The producer also added the sensor of an inclination thanks to which a system signals that the equipment costs on an unstable or uneven surface.
Besides, the updated system of rise which reduces time of setup is used and automatically improves arrangement of the patient for carrying out more exact researches. Among other innovations — the double-sided system of interaction with the patient, the new processor and 32 Gbytes of RAM.
The computer BodyTom Elite tomograph imposes the minimum beam load on the patient thanks to special construction of a gentra from built in X-ray protection (a lead equivalent of 0.75 mm) and to the specialized software processing the image at a post-reconstruction stage. Each pixel of the image analyzes regarding belonging to this or that anatomical structure, then, respectively, is grouped or eliminated. Thus, there is a reduction of noise and decrease in a dose of radiation by 50% without picture-quality degradation, the producer claims. BodyTom allows to receive high-quality images of all backbone (from the first cervical vertebra to the fifth sacral) and soft fabrics for one series.[1]
