Content

In July, 2017 Philips Lighting completed the project on upgrade of functional and decorative lighting of the Fir-trees park in Domodedovo.

The decision on upgrade of lighting was made after the Fir-trees park received the subsidy according to the program of the governor of the Moscow region Parks of Moscow areas directed to creation of attractive, safe and comfortable conditions for rest of inhabitants and guests of the Moscow region.

Project Tasks

As the partner in project implementation the management of the park selected Philips Lighting. The company was faced by a task to develop the concept of lighting of the park situated near Moscow and to make it the place of an attraction not only in day, but also at night.

In particular, it was important to create light climate which would help guests to be guided freely on location and improved appearance of architectural constructions of the park.

The city Fir-trees park is the sign place for inhabitants of Moscow region Domodedovo: in the afternoon here walk with children, and appoint meetings in the evening — Yulia Kostyuk, the director of the Fir-trees park told. — To us it was important that lighting corresponded to image of the favourite vacation spot of citizens. We selected solutions of Philips as they radiate pleasant quality light and answer current trends. Installation of a logo of the park in lamps became the interesting solution, it is a good opportunity by an original method to promote the brand

Work progress

According to Philips Lighting, the project on upgrade of lighting of the Fir-trees park from the moment of development of the concept before completion of works took about half a year.

During the project about 100 LED lamps on walking paths, bridges, in recreation areas and on "The avenue of newlyweds" were installed. New lighting differs in high energy efficiency: a light system spends 3.8 kW of energy per hour that comparably to consumption of electricity 2 teapots. Especially for the park for the first time in practice of the Dutch company lamps with an individual engraving according to the sketch of the customer were manufactured.


Project Results

Specialists of Philips Lighting developed the project based on both traditional LED lamps, and solutions for creation of special lighting effects. For illumination of walking paths, inputs to the park, churches and in vacation spots LED lamps with warm this world of Philips CitySoul and TownGuide Core were used. The special wide light distribution of solutions allowed to light evenly avenues and to create the safe comfortable atmosphere. The high color rendering index of installed solutions (CRI> 80) helped to improve perception of surrounding space and flowers in night-time. Earlier the park was lit with lamps with considerably smaller color rendering index (CRI<70). Мостики парка украсили динамическим цветным освещением с изменением световых сценариев и управлением с единого контроллера, также были использованы светильники с проекцией изображения.

The pedestrian "Avenue of newlyweds" was decorated with multi-colored arches with vegetable patterns, constructions in the form of wedding rings and light installation with the word "Love". The main lighting of "The avenue of newlyweds" is executed based on the solutions Philips Metronomis which are specially developed for city spaces. Specialists of Philips Lighting built in in a flask of 2D lamps - a text projection Park of Fir-tree using which solutions in the included status cast a shadow in the form of a park logo. It is planned that to "The avenue of newlyweds" newlyweds in day of a wedding will come.
