At the beginning of August, 2017 the Medical Institute Berezina of Sergey (MIBS) announced implementation of the magnetic and resonant Magnetom Skyra tomograph of production of Siemens Healthineers company. The cost of the device is 2 million euros.
The equipment of a class of 3 T is used for profound visualization mainly in the researches requiring high rates of accuracy and detailing. A system has a complete software package for identification and refining of pathologies when carrying out oncological, neuro and cardioresearches. So, researches of bodies of a stomach and a small pelvis are conducted with the high spatial resolution and the maximum detailing of anatomical structures.
Essentially new software expands the nomenclature of researches and guarantees excellent quality of images. The visualization received using Magnetom Skyra differs to the best from executed on trekhteslovy magnetic and resonant tomographs of the previous generation that gives to the doctor a detailed idea of the smallest changes in body organs — the head of department of technical training of personnel of MIBS Artem Fedorov noted. |
MIBS say that the purchased MRT-scanner is supplied with the last developments of Siemens which expand possibilities of installation in comparison with the versions of Magnetom Skyra working in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. The modern software is essential — for 20-30% — reduces time of some researches, says institute.
According to Fedorov, the updated Magnetom Skyra allows to receive detailed images in problem zones of visualization, including soft fabrics around transition of a neck to shoulders — in a zone which for the physiological reasons is difficult browsed on the normal MR-tomograph.
