"The optimal logistics" upgraded the corporate information system

On July 31, 2017 the Optimal Logistics company announced upgrade of the corporate information system (CIS).^[1]

It is extremely difficult to create a competitive product in the market of logistics and customs services therefore our main objective — a possibility of providing competitive advantages of future product and benefit for clients — the CEO of Optimal Logistics company Georgy Vlastopulo told. — We aimed to change methodology of CIS and as much as possible to bring closer real logistic and customs processes to their system reflection.

According to Georgy Vlastopulo, the company concentrated on the following tasks:

• compare the planned and real routes of the movement of a load in key points;
• increase identification and interface of data on goods to clients;
• increase automation of exchange of documents and information;
• and also considerably to reduce time of quotation of client requests for the purpose of increase in their relevance.

Upgrade results

The updated corporate information system (CIS) allows to process the orders arriving from clients from the moment of the first address until completion of rendering all approved services in the order. At the same time the analytics of the moved goods, their physical and cost characteristics, geographical points of a logistic route, the assigned customs codes and payments, descriptions of goods in specifications is conducted.

Now clients of "Optimal logistics" at feedback in the form of the commercial offer or the offer will see not only the cost of services and final delivery date, but also the planned routes of transportation of a load.

Also daily expanded online tracking of loads in way — the automatic notification of the client on promotion of a load on route which will allow to trace the plan fact of execution of the undertaken obligations by the logistic operator will be performed. All these functions will be available also in mobile application of Optimalog by means of push-notifications and a look-up table of planned and actual dates. All this will help clients to be guided better on delivery dates and to understand the scheme of following of a load.

We pay special attention to integration of CIS with the customs systems. Today online notifications on processes of giving, registration and release of declarations on goods are completely automated. New completion — unloading of the issued declarations from a customs system directly in CIS and transfer to the client on e-mail and in mobile application — the production director of the company "Optimal logistics" Ivan Komarov told. — Thus, not only process of providing the issued declaration, completely excepting a human factor is automated, but also time for processing is considerably reduced: 5 minutes instead of 2-4 hours after direct release.

Development plans for CIS

At the beginning of 2018 "The optimal logistics" is going to start the automated service allowing to place orders by means of the mobile platform and a personal account on the website of the company. To the client will be to fill a simple form enough then to confirm the order which will be taken to execution and is transferred to the corresponding client manager. Service will be equipped with modules of monitoring of a load, exchange of commodity and accompanying and accounting documents and also the other necessary functions considerably simplifying joint work.
