Content

On August 4, 2017 the Saprun company announced a HyperHive technology implementation project for optimization of warehouse business processes of PJSC KAMAZ.

Project Tasks

At the end of 2016 PJSC KAMAZ was required to optimize warehouse business processes: before the management there was a task to increase capacity of a warehouse for completing by parts of the pipeline of assembly of cabins of generation K4 (5490) at least by 15%. The task of increase in level of discipline of work in a warehouse is in addition set.

Process of acceptance and placement of Inventories took place in the semi-automated mode, time of execution of transactions of acceptance and placement of the entering deliveries in the accounting system of SAP reached up to two days. Business process was slowed down by problems of processing by the operator of the paper sheet and an error of placement of a container on the warehouse place recommended by a system. Delays in receipt of Inventories on a warehouse on the accounting system indirectly influenced the subsequent connected business processes.

Project Progress

The Saprun company suggested to implement a complex of solutions for simplification and automation of process "Acceptance and placement", including excepting processing of paper sheets. Solution components became: the mobile platform (HyperHive), a mobile system of management of warehouse stocks on the shipping documentation (data collection terminals), systems is data sources of the ERP system (SAP WMS) and the system and technical infrastructure (STI).

Project works began in December, 2016. At a stage of functional design the command of Saprun developed design and a prototype of future mobile application. As technology used the mobile platform HyperHive together with the shipping documentation of Motorola 9590. Application programming "A mobile system of management of warehouse stocks" or "local government of SZ" for data collection terminals, including functional and integration testing, is finished by April, 2017.

In June, 2017 the application is brought into trial operation by representatives of interfunctional group of the project from PJSC KAMAZ and Saprun Group Ltd.

Project Results

Thanks to implementation of HyperHive the speed of processes of acceptance and placement of Inventories is increased, account of the executed transactions is kept in real time with their logging in an information system. The command of Saprun implemented seamless integration of mobile application with the system of SAP. Distinctive feature of the solution is that it provides an opportunity for work in zones with an incomplete covering of Wi-fi network.

On a response of the customer, increase in execution of operations of acceptance and placement at storage at 17% for a working shift became a result of implementation of the platform. As specified in Saprun, complete benefit from implementation of mobile solutions, failure from paper forms and manual entry in the system of the SAP statuses of task performance it will be possible to estimate after implementation of mobile functionality on all intra warehouse processes (completing, shipment of Inventories at assembly workshop, carrying out inventory in a warehouse, etc.). According to preliminary estimates experts of the company, transfer to mobile functionality of all warehouse transactions will allow to increase capacity of a warehouse by 20-23%.
