"The resource center for disabled people" will buy 700 devices for reading the "speaking" books

On August 21, 2017 the Moscow City Department of Competition Policy announced that the tender with limited participation on delivery of special devices for reading the "speaking" books on a flash cards in State Budgetary Institution The Resource Center for Disabled People and in the territorial centers of social service of the capital is announced. The Moscow Department for Competition Policy acts as the organizer of biddings.

Auction subject

The contractor should buy and deliver 700 special devices with additional functions for reproduction of the "speaking" books written in a special secure format for blind and visually impaired people. Among the purchased devices — 150 items of equipment: handheld devices.

All texts, signs and characters on special gadgets should be executed by a relief and point font of Braille either relief letters of the Russian alphabet or the Arab digits and signs of characters. It will allow blind and visually impaired users to manage independently freely devices and to listen to books.

Cost and terms of the contract

The starting cost of the contract is about 10 million rubles. According to auction documentation, only representatives of small business and socially oriented NPOs will be able to apply for participation in biddings. Auction participation applications are accepted till August 28, 2017.
