The Ministry of Education of Belarus transfers the Internet portal to beCloud cloud

On August 24, 2017 it became known that the Internet portal of the Ministry of Education of Belarus to www.edu.gov.by will be transferred to resources of a republican cloud platform of beCloud company. The cloud operator will provide for placement of the portal to the ministry virtual infrastructure — IaaS-service with an ability to manage all virtual resources of a product from the selected web interface.

Project Tasks

Cooperation of beCloud and the Ministry of Education of Belarus provides development of high-performance digital solutions and cloud services in the field of education based on FusionCloud of Huawei company, the general contractor of the Republican cloud platform.

Requirements of customers constantly grow, and together with it the cloud market changes. If earlier the Ministry of Education was forced to develop infrastructure on the servers, then now the organization had an opportunity to store own resources and backup copies on the remote platform. At such approach the obvious advantage appears — beCloud will take care of infrastructure — the CEO of beCloud Sergey Poblaguyev explained. — Significant savings on the equipment are also obvious: the ministry will have no need for acquisition, installation and support of expensive storage systems any more.

Volume of resources

For placement of the Internet portal www.edu.gov.by 16 virtual kernels, 32 gigabytes of virtual RAM and 1TB of space for storage and information processing will be selected. The selected capacities will extend in process of placement on resources of the platform of pilot projects which the ministry is going to start already in the coming months.

The cloud platform of beCloud is placed based on the Republican data processing center using infrastructure of the Single network of data transmission.
