Rostelecom started service of video surveillance in the city of Shakhty of the Rostov region

On August 23, 2017 the Rostelecom company announced start of service of video surveillance in the city of Shakhty of the Rostov region within the municipal program of the city of Shakhty for 2017 "Ensuring public order and counteraction of crime".

Specialists of Rostelecom constructed more than 10 km of optical lines of communication, mounted 29 surveillance cameras, organized 2 points of monitoring which are in uniform service on duty and dispatching and city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The cameras are mounted on 8 entrances on the territory of the city of Shakhty, in places of mass accumulation of citizens, including at Lenin Square and in Aleksandrovsk the park. Besides, video surveillance is organized on the most abnormal sections of city roads.

Video cameras work round the clock. Viewing the image is available in real time and on the specified timepoint, including from several video cameras at the same time. Processing of a video flow from video cameras and storage of a videoarchive happens on servers of Rostelecom. For the purpose of safety of data storage backup of information on the National cloud platform of PJSC Rostelecom is performed.
