2018

TLP5832

On April 19, 2018 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company announced release of the optocoupler for management of a lock in the low-profile package SO8L. The optocoupler TLP5832 provides a peak output current of 2.5 A (IOPH, IOPL) and can directly manage BTIZ and MOS transistors of the middle class in such devices as inverters for industrial equipment, air conditioning systems and solar power and also servoamplifiers.

Use of the SO8L body allowed to create the device 2.3 mm high – about 54% less, than the devices released by Toshiba company in the SDIP6 and DIP8 body. Thanks to the SO8L body the optocoupler can be used in modern devices where height of installation and available space are often limited, the developer emphasized.

Despite the ICs small sizes 5000 V (root mean square value) provide insulation voltage (BVS) and also guarantees length of a way of leak and value of a gap of at least 8.0 mm that allows to apply it as a part of systems requiring high efficiency of isolation, including the devices crucial in terms of security noted in Toshiba.

The optocoupler TLP5832 has the guaranteed propagation delay time of a signal (tPLH, tPHL) 200 nanoseconds and irregularity of propagation delay of a signal (tPsk) of ±80 nanoseconds with all operating temperature range from-40 to +110 °C. It allows to create highly effective schemes of inverters due to decrease in project admissions on temperature.

Deliveries of devices began since April, 2018.

TLP2735

On March 20, 2018 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company provided the high-speed integrated optocoupler for an outcome of management signals a lock of MOS transistors. TLP2735 is the first optocoupler of Toshiba with function of blocking at the lowered tension (UVLO) with a hysteresis.

The UVLO function reduces sensitivity of the optocoupler to noises which are created in feed cables, and allows to prevent false operations at inclusion. Thanks to the minimum voltage of isolation of 5 kV between an input and an exit (root mean square value) and to compliance to the standard of security for the optocouplers IEC60747-5-5 the TLP2735 device can be used in systems requiring the high level of efficiency of an outcome.

Range of operating voltages of a power supply on the party of an exit is from 9 to 20 V and corresponds to gate voltages of MOS transistors. High tension of a power supply also allows to use the device for an outcome of inputs of intelligent power modules.

TLP2735 has low propagation delay of 100 nanoseconds (max.) and provides data transfer rate of 10 Mbps.

The device is issued in the low-profile package SO6L for surface mount with the maximum height of 2.3 mm which provides length of a way of leak and value of a gap of 8 mm according to requirements to the strengthened isolation. Thanks to operating temperature range from-40 to 125 °C the device is suitable for work in the protected industrial systems.

2017

TLP57xx(LF4) и TLP27xx(LF4)

On October 3, 2017 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company announced expansion of a line of optocouplers with a logical exit in the SO6L body and and provided devices in the SO6L (LF4) body with the increased step of outputs.

Optocouplers can directly be integrated on the printed circuit boards intended for installation of devices in the SDIP6 F-type body. Height of the SO6L (LF4) body of 2.3 mm - is 45% lower than height of the SDIP6 F-type body that allows to use devices in the conditions of limited space, for example, at installation on a bottom side of the printed circuit board.

Step of package terminals of SO6L (LF4) of 9.35 mm that provides the safe length of a way of leakage of 8.0 mm and insulation voltage of 5 kV (min. root mean square value).

Devices are suitable for different scopes of application, including high-speed digital interfaces, input-output interfaces, a PLC, intelligent power modules and inverters for air conditioning systems, industrial devices and devices for the industry of solar power.

For October 3, 2017 serial production of optocouplers with a logical exit in the SO6L body is begun.

TLP5214A

On September 1, 2017 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company announced release of the intelligent optocoupler with the driver of a lock TLP5214A for control of bipolar transistors with an isolated gate (BTIZ) of average power and powerful MOS transistors. The device has the function of determination of an exit improved in comparison with TLP5214 model from saturation.

The optocoupler TLP5214A is intended for different scopes in which MOS transistors and BTIZ, including industrial inverters, inverters of the systems of solar power, inverters of conditioners of air and servoamplifiers are used.

The built-in functions ensure functioning in the set modes due to suppression of short-term impulse interference during the switching and determination of an exit from saturation. As the optimized TLP5214 model the device has handover time of strain measurement of saturation (DESAT) on leading edge of 1.1 microsec (standard value) and time of filtering of DESAT of 90 nanoseconds (standard value). Time of smooth shutdown (7 microsec) is doubled in comparison with the predecessor.

Insulation voltage of the device is 5000 V (root mean square value), and the minimum length of a way of leak and value of a gap are equal to 8 mm.

TLP5214A works at the supply voltage from 15 to 30 V (the peak output current can reach ±4.0 A), differs short delay of distribution (150 nanoseconds at irregularity of ±80 nanoseconds) that allows allows to use the device in the high-speed systems. TLP5214A is issued in the SO16L body with the maximum height of 2.3 mm which conforms to requirements of all fundamental standards of security.

According to Toshiba, TLP5214A are already delivered by serial batches.
