Epicor for Service Enterprises 8.2 is the ERP system of Epicor company for the companies of medium business working in the field of services. According to the developer, the new version of the ERP system contains significant improvements in the field of project management and is the most complete solution in this sphere in recent years.
According to the description, the new release allows to manage more effectively project-oriented business to the companies rendering professional services namely the auditing firms, the engineering and construction, consulting companies, the organizations which are engaged in rendering IT services. An ERP system includes an expanded set of functions in the field of management of finance, projects, sales.
The new version of the ERP system helps to organize project management, covering diverse spheres of activity and also those projects in which implementation several parties participate. The built-in BI tools allow to solve broader spectrum of tasks at the level of control and project audit, the analysis of accomplishment of separate tasks, billing, cost analysis and cost value.
As told TAdviser in the Russian division of Epicor company, at the moment already more than 150 organizations in the world use the ERP system of Epicor for Service Enterprises (E4SE).
As a rule, the organizations automate the most critical processes for business — project costs accounting, resource allocation on projects. For this purpose the module Project Suite which is a kernel of the E4SE system and can independently be delivered is implemented, in an effect "acquiring" new functionality. Further the companies aim to coordinate project activity to the CRM module which allows to automate processes of marketing and sales, to connect them with project functionality, increasing speed of preparation of commercial offers and providing profitability of the sold projects on the basis of specific digits and practice of work. Functions of automation of financial managerial accounting are also demanded that allows to connect financial performance with operational work of the project organizations.
Duration of implementation varies from 1.5 to 5 months depending on "non-standard" of settings and a set of the implemented modules.
