MegaFon provided with communication builders of Samara Arena stadium

On September 20, 2017 the MegaFon company announced development of temporary technical solution for providing builders with communication who build Samara Arena stadium to the FIFA World Cup of 2018.

Project Tasks

As explained in MegaFon, development of the individual solution it became necessary at a stage when metal constructions of a dome began to reflect a signal of the next base stations. After completion of construction MegaFon will install a fixed equipment at stadium.

According to representatives of operator, for modern buildings with massive metal constructions which interrupt signals of a mobile network base stations in the premises – an indoor-covering often are required. Standard projects in this case do not approach: it is necessary to consider not only the size of an object, but also the materials used at construction, features of location of internal premises and other nuances. For this reason MegaFon developed the individual solution for one of stadiums which will host the World Cup in 2018.

Project Results

Now builders of the main sports ground of the city can use a high-quality voice communication and the high-speed mobile Internet of fourth generation (4G).

For our city "Samara the Arena" — perhaps, the most large-scale object of the last decades. Therefore providing with communication builders, and then football fans is for us important and responsible work. Even temporary technical solutions give to construction crews the chance to use a reliable communication, without feeling discomfort — the director of the Samara department of MegaFon company Maxim Tokarenko noted.

Victory in the tender of NCI

As you know, the Rostec state corporation is appointed by the only contractor of the project on creation of a communications infrastructure and IT for the FIFA World Cup 2018 and the Cup of Confederations of 2017. The subsidiary company of Rostec — "The National Center of Informatization" implements the project. 2018 MegaFon received the right of providing telecom infrastructure for rendering services of mobile and fixed connection on FM objects as a result of a victory in the tender of NCI.
