Advanced algorithms in Eclipse precisely and quickly calculate distribution of a dose for photons, electrons and protons. With a combination of modular algorithms and flexible architecture of Eclipse the doctor can select the optimal plan for each separate treatment.
2017: Release of the version of Eclipse 15.5
In September, 2017 the Varian Medical Systems company announced the new version of schedule system of treatment of Eclipse — 15.5. The updated software received a number of improvements and support of a system of high-precision radiation therapy of Varian HyperArc HDRT.
In Eclipse 15.5 the corporate technology of multicriteria optimization (MCO) which will allow doctors to investigate deviations in an organism by different clinical criteria, such as degree of protection of certain bodies against spread of tumors is implemented. MCO, using data from Varian RapidPlan software (the solution for individual planning of radiation therapy) and also other automation systems, helps doctors to make the optimal plan of treatment for each patient.
Thanks to Eclipse 15.5 we saw instant improvement of quality of planning of treatment when using MCO in different medical institutions, - the employee of the Scottish oncological center Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre Suzanne Currie says. — We managed to lower doses of radiation of the bodies which are in a zone of risk to the level which could not be expected before. At the same time spread of a tumor did not change or even decreased. |
