The Aytiproyekt company announced on September 20, 2017 deployment of a RFID system in Our Yard production company.

The RFID system based on ITProject RFID Server unrolled on production of playgrounds in Our Yard company optimized production logistics and helped to increase the accuracy of a complete set of orders

Prerequisites of the Project

The Our Yard company makes and supplies the equipment for playgrounds in the form of the completing elements in a folding type. Components of the equipment are laid on the pallets packed into a thermoshrinkable film and pulled together with a packaging tape. Packaging simplifies loading, transportation and further processing that, in turn, reduces costs on delivery of a load. The technical data sheet containing is attached to each product: pick list, assembly instruction, instruction for survey and service of this equipment. All component parts are numbered according to the pick list and the mounting instruction.

Before the Our Yard company addressed to Aytiproyekt, control of production logistics was exercised based on technology shaped coding, but the existing system did not give the chance to online trace a production process of component parts and their movement from one section of another. Plus to it, in connection with complexity of tracking of the big nomenclature of parts in one order, often there were errors during a complete set, packagings and shipments of the order which elimination took extra time.

Project Tasks

The Aytiproyekt company was faced by a task to develop a RFID system which would allow to monitor in real time accomplishment of orders, including a production process and also their complete set and shipment.

Choice of solutions

Aytiproyekt proposed the solution using RFID UHF technology and the software of ITProject RFID. For marking of component parts self-adhesive UHF of a RFID tag of Smartrac Frog 3D were selected. At the same time ID number was duplicated by the label with a barcode. In production workshops the stationary RFID readers Motorola FX9500 and also Impinj Speedway Revolution R420 are deployed. For coding and printing of RFID labels the decision to use thermotransfer Zebra ZT410 RFID printers was made.

Implementation Progress

ITProject RFID was integrated with own web management system of the customer which is responsible for distribution of products at accomplishment of orders on workshops and controls their accomplishment.

For control of assembly of orders automatic transfer lines of a complete set were equipped with the RFID readers Nordic ID Sampo S1 configured on reading tags at a short distance. The finished product gives all the best on the pipeline. In the course of its movement the identifier written in a RFID tag is read out and its existence in the sheet of a complete set is checked. In case of an error, the sense light lights up. Thus, the probability of an error of a complete set comes down to zero.

Project Results

After installation of a RFID system the staff of production workshops can see, where and what parts are in each timepoint, and not to spend time for their search. Control of a production process at order fulfillment also happens in real time. Managers see at what stage there is an order, and this information is also available to the customer who can keep track of the status of the order on the website of the producer.
