Radio-electronic ammunition

In Russia conduct development of radio-electronic ammunition which is intended for removal from a system of the equipment of the opponent at the expense of powerful to a very high frequency impulse. According to experts, our country is only in the world which army is armed with ammunition with electromagnetic generators.

According to the adviser to the First Deputy CEO of concern Radio-Electronic Technologies Vladimir Mikheyev, influence of similar weapon can vary depending on assigned tasks — both short-term noises, and elimination of the equipment^[1] are possible^[2]with.

As works are carried out under the highest security classification, as Mikheyev noted, "today we can only tell that all these practices are transferred to the plane of specific developmental works on creation of electromagnetic weapon: the shells, bombs, rockets bearing on themselves the special vzryvomagnitny generator". At the same time he emphasized that similar developments are conducted also in the USA and China.
