Supermicro SuperBlade is a product line for the server systems.
On September 23, 2017 company Super Micro Computer, Inc. announced release of solutions 6U SuperBlade for support of processors of future generations.
The SuperBlade system integrates functions of calculations, network interaction and data storage in one body 6U with 10 or 14-lezviyny servers, up to 28 U.2 NVMe or 42 disks of SAS SSD, four Ethernet-switches 25G/10G.
Lezviyny servers support the Intel Xeon processors Scalable (to 205 watts) with 24 (2-nested "edges") and 12 (1-nested "edges") slots of DIMM that allows to increase performance and system effectiveness. Servers support the M.2 NVMe, Intel Optane and Apache Pass. In the body modules of management of the chassis and the software, as well as in systems 8U/4U SuperBlade and 6U/3U of Micro Blade are used Ethernet-kommunatora. It guarantees reliability, operational technological effectiveness and availability.
The Supermicro Super Blade systems represent modular assemblies for the equipment of data centers on the basis of Rack Scale Design (RSD) technology. Reduction of cable contacts in comparison with servers 1U allows to reduce the general cost value of ownership (TSO) by 90% and to optimize air flows that, in turn, reduces load of fans of cooling and leads to additional reduction of operating expenses. Increase in energy efficiency of fans of cooling for 54 percent is reached by means of sharing of eight fans and the integrated power modules by all 14 server lezviyny Super Blade servers. Solutions are delivered with the programming interface IPMI 2.0 and Redfish based on an open industry standard that allows large data centers to save on administrative expenses. Systems 6U SuperBlade, contain up to 98 one - or two-nested lezviyny servers with Ethernet switches 25G or 10G in each rack 42U. There is an optional module Battery Backup Power (BBP). It provides power supply of the body in case of interruptions in mains supply.
